Overview

The WaitWell Lobby Display is a customer-facing screen that shows queue information such as ticket numbers, wait times, and now-serving indicators. A Lobby Profile saves a specific configuration of that display (layout, queues, appearance) into a reusable URL. This means you can plug that link into any display device (TV, tablet, monitor) and it will automatically load your saved lobby settings without needing to reconfigure.

Steps to Create a Lobby Profile

Step 1: Open the Lobby Display

Navigate to the WaitWell Lobby Display using one of the following URLs and your designated WaitWell key found in the Kiosk or Lobby Settings sub menu in the Customer Site Settings:

Once link is opened, enter your WaitWell key and click Submit to access the Lobby Display interface.

Step 2: Open the Configuration Menu

Once the Lobby Display loads, click the hamburger menu icon on the top right side of the screen. This opens the configuration panel where you can begin setting up a new profile.

Step 3: Choose a Layout and Select Queues

After choosing your desired layout, navigate to the Queues & Appearance tab. Click Choose on the first settings bar titled Locations/Queues to Display. Find the desired location queue you want to display, tick the appropriate checkbox, and then close the selection window.

Step 4: Preview Your Lobby Display

After closing the queue selection menu, your lobby display will update in real time to reflect the queues and settings you selected. Review the display to confirm it looks as expected before proceeding.

Step 5: Copy the Settings URL

Once you have configured the remaining lobby settings to your preference (appearance, layout options, etc.), navigate to the Profile tab. Enter a profile name in the designated field, then click the Copy Settings URL button. A confirmation window will appear indicating that the settings were successfully copied to your clipboard.

Step 6: Navigate to Lobby Settings in the Staff App

Close the Lobby Display URL and open the Staff App. Navigate to Lobby Settings and find the Lobby Profiles field. Click the Customize button to open the profile management area.

Step 7: Create the Profile Entry

Click ADD on the top right of the profile management area. This will create a new row. In the Name field, type your desired profile name and press Enter. This will generate a new link next to the profile name. In the Settings column, paste the Lobby Profile Settings URL you copied in Step 5. Click anywhere away from the row to save.

Step 8: Use Your Lobby Profile

You have now successfully created a Lobby Profile. The generated link in the profile row is a static URL that holds all of your configured lobby display settings. You can plug this link into any display device (TV, tablet, kiosk) and it will load your saved configuration automatically. The profile can also be managed and refreshed directly from the Staff App under Lobby Settings.
