How do I see a pet's album?

Open a pet's album of photos, videos, walks and visits, download it, and see who can view it.

Every pet you look after has an album: their photos, videos, walks and visits, all in one place. Here's how to open it, download everything in it, and who can see it.

Open a pet's album

  1. Tap Clients, open the client, then the pet.

  2. Tap ... at the top right, then View album.

The album opens in a browser window inside Walkies. If you're asked to, sign in with your Walkies account, the same way you sign in to the app. Tap Close to go back.

Team members can open it too. They open the pet from an appointment's Client info, tap ..., then View album.

What's in the album

  • The pet's photo and name under Pet album, with their birthday if you've added it.

  • Gallery: the photos and videos from their walks and visits. Tap one to see it full screen.

  • Activities: their walks and visits, newest first, with totals like walks, visits, the distance walked, and pees and poops.

  • A walk or visit that's still going on shows up once it has ended.

  • On a group walk with pets from other clients, only the photos and videos tagged with this pet are included.

Download the photos and videos

Tap Download all photos and videos at the top. On a phone, the button says Photos and videos. Everything downloads as one ZIP file named after the pet. If the album only has photos, or only videos, the button says so.

Who can see it

  • The pet's owners, including a second owner, signed in to the Walkies Journal app or the web.

  • Everyone on your team, signed in to Walkies.

  • Nobody else. The album isn't public: anyone else who opens the link sees Album unavailable.

Clients open it from their pets in the Walkies Journal app. See How do I see my pet's album?

In the web app

Open the client, then the pet. The banner at the top has View album, which opens the album in a new tab, and Copy link.

Good to know

  • The album fills itself from your walks and visits. There's nothing to set up, and you don't choose what goes in it.

  • Albums are on every Walkies plan.

  • If you see Album unavailable, check you're signed in with the right account, and tap Try again.

  • View album isn't shown for archived pets.

  • When a pet passes away and you move them to Rainbow Bridge, View album is replaced by View memorial page. Unlike the album, a memorial page can be shared with anyone. See How do I move a pet to Rainbow Bridge?
