One day, an enterprising operations pro was sent on a quest to solve three riddles for their band of adventures:

  • How is our sales pipeline performing?

  • What is driving our growth or decline in revenue?

  • How effective is our sales team?

Alas, the people told them, "You can't answer those questions! You'll have to cross the chasm of extract-load-transform (ETL) tools, climb Mount Data Warehouse, and slay the Data Analysis dragon. It's an impossible task, and also we don't have the budget for that."

But lo! The Operations Pro found a magical tool called Wallabi that could help them cross chasms, climb mountains, and slay dragons. All they needed was a Salesforce integration.

This is their story.

What Salesforce data can I analyze with Wallabi?

Wallabi will automatically pull marketing pipeline, opportunity, customer, and deal records from Salesforce. If you need support for additional objects, contact our team at support@wallabi.ai.

Wallabi will automatically generate insights related to the following:

  • Sales Pipeline Health & Risk Assessment - Assess the health of the sales pipeline and identify potential risks or bottlenecks affecting deal progression.

  • Opportunity Conversion Analysis - Uncover patterns in opportunity conversion rates to optimize sales strategies.

  • Deal Velocity Optimization - Shorten the sales cycle by understanding factors that accelerate or delay deal closures.

And much more!

What do I need before connecting to Salesforce?

You will need Google Chrome, the Wallabi for Chrome browser extension, and a Google or Microsoft oAuth email address. For more details on getting started with Wallabi, see here.

How do I connect to Salesforce?

From your insight feed, select the hamburger menu in the top left corner, then select "Data" to navigate to your Data Management tab.

Select "Add data" at the bottom of your list of data sources, then select the data source you want to connect.

Be not afraid! Wallabi uses a third-party vendor called Fivetran to manage the extraction and loading of data into the Wallabi analytical cloud data warehouse. You are not charged for these costs. For additional details on the Fivetran integration, see their Salesforce documentation or security policies.

Select "Continue" to proceed.

โš ๏ธ Note: While Fivetran allows you to sync formula fields, we do not recommend selecting this option.

Select the checkbox to indicate you understand the Fivetran terms and privacy policies. See Wallabi's terms and privacy policies here. Click "Connect app" to continue.

Once authentication has been successful, you will be redirected to this screen. Select "Save & Test" to continue.

And that's it! Wallabi has started extracting, cleaning, and modeling your data for analysis. This can take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours depending on the source system and your data volume. Sit back and grab a cup of coffee. Wallabi will alert you when you can start asking questions.

Why am I seeing things related to Fivetran when I connect my data? Who is that?

Wallabi uses a third-party vendor called Fivetran to manage the extraction and loading of data into the Wallabi analytical cloud data warehouse. You are not charged for these costs. For additional details on the Fivetran integration, see their Salesforce documentation or security policies.

Why does it take so long for Wallabi to gather my data?

Source systems like HubSpot, Salesforce, and others impose rate limits on their APIs. Depending on the volume of your data, this can significantly impact the speed at which Wallabi can move data.

What Salesforce permissions do I need to connect to Wallabi?

To connect Wallabi to Salesforce, you need:

  • Access to an active Salesforce account

  • A Salesforce Enterprise level account plan or higher, or purchased Salesforce API calls

What permissions do I need to grant for the integration to work?

Wallabi requires read access to opportunity, account, user, contact, campaign, and lead objects for features like attribution modeling and campaign analysis. A detailed list of required permissions will appear during the setup.

How often does the data sync between Salesforce and Wallabi?

Data is synced every 6 hours by default.

What happens to my data after my trial period has expired or I stop using Wallabi?

Wallabi will pause all syncs from the source system but retain any historical data already moved. You may continue to ask questions, but be aware that insights will likely not reflect the reality of your business until you subscribe and Wallabi updates your data.

The Wallabi team manually purges old customer data from our databases regularly. If you would like to expedite this process or have other questions/concerns, please contact support@wallabi.ai.
