How to add, edit and delete users

Add new users, edit existing ones and delete old users from your WebCargo account (Professional or Enterprise accounts only)

Whether it’s a new member joining your team, a member leaving or one of your colleagues has changed job roles, find out how you can add, edit or delete users on your account.

Important: you can only add, remove or edit users if your role is Admin or Super Admin.

Adding a new user

To add a new user to your account, firstly click on the Settings tab. From here, you'll see a sub-tab called Users. Highlight this sub-tab, and from the dropdown click on Users.

Once the page has loaded, click on the plus symbol shown above.

You will then be presented with the above page. The obligatory fields are highlighted with a red asterisk, so make sure you fill these in. These are as follows:

Account type: there are 4 different account types, these being Limited Access, Normal, Admin & Super Admin. Find out what each different account type means by clicking here.
Name: the name of the new user

Email: the email address affiliated with the new user. Notice how the email domain corresponds with that of your company.

IATA code: In order to navigate and use certain features on the site, you will need to have an IATA code assigned for each user. This can be a single IATA code or all codes assigned to the company account.

The other fields are not obligatory, but if you wish to enter more information about the user you have these options available.


Once you have completed all of the fields, click on Add and the new user will be added to your existing list.

Editing an existing user

You can edit current users under the same section by clicking on the edit symbol.

Once the Edit User icon has been clicked, you will be taken to the page with all user details.

From here, you can change the account type giving the user more or fewer permissions on-site, as well as changing their name, email address and password.

Important: you can also assign IATA codes and activate eBookings for these users manually.

Once any changes have been made, click on the Save button and your user will be automatically updated.

Deleting an existing user

In the same section you add a new user, you can also delete existing users. First, click on the box next to the user you want to remove.

Once the user has been selected, click on the red trash can symbol. Which will bring up this message:

If you're sure you want to remove this user, click on OK. This user will then be removed from the list of existing users under your WebCargo account.
