How to use WebCargo's new Intuitive side menu

WebCargo’s new intuitive side menu makes navigating to your most important tools from within the platform easier than ever. Read this article on how to navigate the new menu and find everything you need.

How to use the search bar

To quickly find a page or tool, click the magnifying glass shown above to open the search bar, then type what you are looking for to show the results:

How to create a new quotation

If you have a paid pack, click the “+” icon shown above to start creating a new quote using static rates. Clicking New Rate & Quote will open the static rate search option, where you can enter your cargo details and search for static rates based on your search parameters.

To add more information about the weight and dimensions of your shipment for static rate quoting, click on the blue arrow just below the origin and destination information.

This will open a new section where you can choose to add information based on Units, Weight and a Breakdown by weight break and profit.

How to create access live rates and create a New eBooking

Clicking on the New eBooking section gives you direct access to the live rate matrix, where you can search for live rates and capacity, and book in minutes. Find out in this article how to make an eBooking directly from the platform without calling an airline.

How to access your quotation, eBooking and payment information

The Shipment section provides detailed management options for your shipments, including quotes, bookings, and payment tracking.

Quotes

View and manage all quotes sent to your customers, including active, booked, and closed quotes. You can also send the quotations directly to your customers, negotiate prices, submit bids or reject requests, duplicate existing quotes and much more.

eBookings

Within the eBookings sub-tab you can view and manage all of your eBookings, or those booked on your behalf with the carrier.

Payments

The Payments page is available if WebCargo Pay is set up on your account. With WebCargo Pay, you can add funds to your account to be used on eBookings, manage your wallet balance, apply for credit, and view recent and past transactions.

Rate management and account and pricing

The Rates section allows you to manage and compare various rates and pricing options.

Rate management

Within the rate management section, you can manage local and global rates, local charges, suppliers, services, Incoterms, postcode zones, groups of services, templates, and calculation bases.

You can also handle main leg rates, ad hoc rates, new tenders, dynamic B2S, tags, carrier portfolios, lanes, mark-ups, and API keys. Active rates, both local and global, can be compared and surcharges managed.

How to manage your local charges

Within the local section, you can find everything related to local charges for your static rate quotations. These include sections to create your local charges, Sales profiles, Supplier information, Services, and group information among others. The logic to create and manage local charges has not changed.

Mainleg management

Within the Mainleg section, you will find sub-tabs to manage your ad hoc quotations, create new tenders, view information about active rates, compare static rates, manage surcharges and use the rate download tool.

Local rate uploads

Access available templates to upload rates to your account by clicking on the Templates tab within the Rate upload tool.

Under the Rate management section, you will find a sub tab called Rate upload with a section for Templates. This is where you find all downloadable templates relevant to uploading your own airline rates to the platform.

Contact your WebCargo by Freightos account manager to see if you have the rate upload tool activated on your account.

Global rate uploads

If you have a multinational pack type activated, you will also see the option for a Global rate upload. From here, you will be able to download Excel files to be able to upload on a global basis. Any rates uploaded using these files will affect all countries you have activated on your account.

Rate sharing

Within the rate sharing section, you can choose to share static rates with foreign agents, partners, or clients who do not have access to a WebCargo account, or you can delegate eBooking authority by clicking on the eBooking delegation section.

eBooking delegation allows you to give access to agents in other parts of the world so they can access live rates and make eBookings on your behalf.

How to access account and pricing information

Under the accounts and pricing sub tab, you can find subsections for local management for accounts. This is where you can add, edit, manage and delete any clients have within your WebCargo account.

If you have a Global account, you will also see a section for Global management, where you can manage clients on a global level. Any changes made within this section will reflect for all the countries you have live within your account.

Analytics

Within the Analytics section, you can find in-depth information about eBookings and static rate quotations made within your WebCargo account.

Business Intelligence

Within the Analytics section, you can find Business Intelligence tools. With these tools you can view eBooking statistics, such as data based on eBookings made on your account and the same with Quoting statistics, or quotes made with static rates to your customers.

Within the Quoting statistics section, you’ll find three options. These are XLS reports, Statistics, and Analytics.

XLS reports allows you to generate reports based on user statistics, choosing a specific date range and a branch.

The Statistics section allows you to view won, lost, pending and expired quotations for users within your account

How to access tools, settings and preferences

Tools

Within the sub section Tools you can find useful tools to help you with eBooking and quotations.

These include AWB management where you can upload and manage your AWB stock, keep track of bookmarked dynamic rates, and access unique tools such as a directory of your handling agents, Airport maps, to check the closest airports to your origin and destinations, and a currency converter tool.

Settings

Within the Settings section, you can manage information on an account level about Quoting terms and conditions, including texts and templates which will appear on your static rate quotations, Products that you work with, create personalised regions if you work with specific grouped countries, add your own currency conversions, manage your GSA contacts, and use JavaScript to map specific services from your system to the WebCargo platform

Preferences

Within the Preferences section, you can set rules to determine which airlines show first within the static rate results on a user level, and customise your homepage to see the most important news first, as well as linking news sources through an RSS feed.

If you have a Global account, you can also customize which news shows first across all countries active on your account.

User management

If you are an admin or super admin, you will have the User management section activated. Within this section, you can view and manage all of your local and global users.

Within the Local users section, you can view information about active users within your account, manage companies you use to quote with, add and manage branches, mass update all users in one go, and assign or unassign airports to specific IATA codes that have been added to your account.

By clicking on User activity you can view the total number of user log ins per country and when they last logged in.

View information about user roles if you have requested that have been added for you by your account manager, information about offices within your account, and manage email addresses that have been added for pricing and procurement purposes.

Miscellaneous

Finally, at the bottom of the side menu, you will find information about legal procedures, terms of service and more.
