Changing your Whale notifications

Updated over a month ago

Staying informed about what’s happening in your Whale workspace is key to keeping everyone aligned and up to speed. Whether you’re managing a team or just want to stay in the loop, Whale offers weekly email updates to help you track progress, follow up on key items, and review recent activity. With just a few clicks, you can customize what type of updates you receive and how often.

How to Manage Email Notifications in Whale

Step 1: Go to Your Profile Settings

In your Whale workspace, click on your profile icon and select Settings from the dropdown menu.

Step 2: Choose What You Want to Receive

Under the Notifications section, you’ll see two types of email options:

  • 📨 Summary Email

    • Get a weekly or monthly Activity Digest delivered to your inbox.

    • Choose your preferred frequency — or turn it off if you prefer not to receive it.

  • 🔁 Follow-Up Emails

    • Get notified about specific events, such as when someone completes a SOP, mentions you, or adds comments.

    • Use toggles to enable or disable each type of follow-up.

Step 3: Save Your Preferences

Click Save at the bottom of the page. That’s it — you’re all set!

Example

Let’s say you’re a team lead who wants a regular pulse check. You might enable the weekly Summary Email to review team activity and keep Follow-Up Emails active for completed SOPs and comments to ensure nothing slips through the cracks.

By customizing your email settings, you stay in control of what matters — without unnecessary noise.
