Sequence Settings

When creating a sequence in Whippy, the first step is to configure its settings. Even after setting up the sequence and automation, you can still modify these settings anytime. Follow these steps to configure settings for the already created sequence:

1. Go to Sequences

Access the Sequences page through the website or by using this direct link: https://app.whippy.co/sequences

2. Select the Desired Sequence

Choose the sequence you want to edit from the list.

3. Click Edit Sequence Settings

Click the gear icon to access the sequence settings.

4. Change Basic Information

You can edit the following details and:

  • Title (Required): Enter a descriptive name for the sequence.

  • Description: Provide additional details about the sequence (optional).

  • Sequence Type:

    • Sequential: Sends messages in a predefined order.

    • Branched: Allows for varied actions based on user responses or behavior.

  • Access Level:

    • Private to Me: Only you can view or modify the sequence.

    • Organization: Accessible to all users in the organization.

    • Channels: Available to specific channels.

5. Click the "Next Step" Button

Proceed to configure your sequence settings

6. Choose Action When a Contact Responds

You can choose what happens when a contact responds:

  • Continue Processing Sequence: The contact will continue receiving subsequent messages in the sequence.

  • Remove the Contact from the Sequence: The contact will no longer receive messages in the sequence.

7. Choose Action When a Contact Is Added Again

Decide what happens if a contact is added multiple times:

  • Re-add Contact to Sequence: The contact is reintroduced into the sequence if added again.

  • Exclude Contact from Sequence: The contact will not be added more than once to the sequence.

8. Set the Maximum Number of Times a Contact Can Be in the Sequence

Specify the total number of times a contact can be added to this sequence.

9. Set the Maximum Number of Times a Contact Can Be Added in a Day

Determine how many times a contact can be added within a 24-hour period.

10. Specify Additional Functions

You can enable or disable extra functions as per your campaign’s needs:

  • Support SMS Quiet Hours: Activate this to avoid sending messages during designated quiet hours.

  • Skip Sending on Weekends: Disable messaging over the weekends.

  • Only Send During Business Hours: Restrict message sending to standard business hours.

  • Enable/Disable Link Tracking: Track or disable tracking of links within the sequence messages.

  • Select Your Domain for Link Tracking: Choose the domain for link tracking.

11. Save Sequence

After making the desired changes, click Save Sequence to apply the updates.

12. Done

Your sequence settings have been successfully updated and are ready for use.
