The Sequence Templates feature in Whippy allows you to create reusable templates. With sequence templates, you can standardize your communication flows and automate your outreach efforts. This guide will walk you through the steps to create, save, and use sequence templates effectively.
1. Go to Sequences
Access the Sequences page through the website or by using this direct link: https://app.whippy.co/sequences
2. Select "My Templates" from the Left Tab
In the Sequences dashboard, navigate to the "My Templates" tab on the left side panel to manage or create new sequence templates.
3. Click the "Create Template" Button
To begin creating a new sequence template, click the "Create Template" button.
4. Enter the Basic Sequence Information
Specify the basic information and parameters for your sequence template:
Title (required): Provide a name for the sequence template.
Description: Add details about the sequence template (optional).
Sequence Type:
Sequential: Sends messages in a set order.
Branched: Allows different actions based on user behavior.
Access Level:
Private to Me: Only visible to you.
Organization: Visible to everyone in the organization.
Channels: Visible to specific channels.
Click the "Next Step" button to proceed.
5. Choose Action When a Contact Responds
Select from 2 available options:
Continue Processing Sequence: The contact will continue to receive messages in the sequence.
Remove the Contact from the Sequence: The contact will be removed from further messages.
6. Choose Action When a Contact is Added Again
Select from 2 available options:
Re-add Contact to Sequence: Reintroduce the contact to the sequence if added again.
Exclude Contact from Sequence: Prevent the contact from being added more than once.
7. Set the Maximum Number of Times a Contact Can Be in the Sequence
Define how many times a contact can be added to the sequence.
8. Set the Maximum Number of Times a Contact Can Be Added in a Day
Specify the number of times a contact can be added within a single day.
9. Specify Additional Functions
Select additional features you want to include to your sequence and save the template:
Support SMS Quiet Hours: Enable if you don’t want messages sent during quiet hours.
Skip Sending on Weekends: Disable sending on weekends.
Only Send During Business Hours: Restrict sending to business hours.
Enable/Disable Link Tracking: Choose to track link clicks.
Select Your Domain for Link Tracking: Choose which domain to use for link tracking.
10. Add a Sequence Step
Click the Add Step button to define the steps in your drip campaign.
11. Specify the Action Parameters
Configure your message sending parameters:
Step Title: Name the sequence step.
Enter Campaign Message: Compose the message for this step.
Select Timezone: Choose the timezone for message scheduling.
Select Schedule:
Send Immediately: Message is sent as soon as the step is activated.
Send with Delay: Message is sent after a set delay.
12. Click the "Save Step" Button
Save the step to be part of your sequence.
13. Template is Ready to Use!
You’ve successfully created a new sequence template! You can now use this template for future sequences, add more steps, or even automate actions to further customize your template.
How to Use Your Sequence Template:
1. Navigate to "My Templates" from the Left Tab
In the Sequences dashboard, navigate to the "My Templates" tab on the left side panel to manage or create new sequence templates.
2. Select a Template and Click "Use Template"
This will convert your template into an active sequence, leaving only the step of adding your audience.
