How to Block/Unblock a Contact?

When a contact is blocked, all of their conversations are marked as "spam" rather than being categorized as "open," "automated," or "closed." You can still send and receive messages from blocked contacts, but you won’t get notifications, and their messages won’t appear in your inbox—unless you search for their phone number specifically.

If you decide to unblock a contact later, their past messages (sent while they were blocked) will still be available and viewable.

If a contact in your Campaign Audience is blocked, they will be automatically added to the Excluded Contacts list (visible in the right-hand panel of the campaign) and will not receive the campaign message. However, you can still send them a direct 1-on-1 message manually.

To block a contact, follow these instructions:

  1. Navigate to the Contacts section to view and manage your contact list. Use the search bar or scroll through the list to locate the contact you wish to Block/Un-block.

  2. Click on the contact’s name to open their details in the right-side panel.

  3. Click the three dots next to the contact’s name and click on Block/Un-block Contact, and confirm by clicking on Yes, Block/Yes, Un-block.

Done! The contact has been Blocked/Un-blocked.
