Why it matters
Auto-provisioning allows a Fanvil phone to automatically pull SIP settings, users, and extensions from Whippy Business Phone. This removes manual configuration and ensures devices stay in sync as your account changes.
Key Concepts
SIP domain: The domain the Fanvil phone uses to register with Whippy Business Phone.
Credential list and attachment: Credentials and mappings required for SIP authentication.
SIP user: The Business Phone user account used by the phone for registration.
Extension: A soft key or feature button assigned to a phone line.
Auto-provisioning URL: A Whippy-generated link that delivers configuration settings to the device.
Static provisioning server: The Fanvil menu where the provisioning URL is entered.
