Step-by-Step: Set Up Yealink Auto-Provisioning
Connect the Yealink desk phone to the internet.
On the device, go to Menu > Status to find the phone’s IP address.
Enter the IP address in a web browser to open the Yealink web interface.
Log in using the phone’s admin password.
In Whippy, confirm that your SIP domain, credential list, credential attachment, SIP users, and extensions are already created for Whippy Business Phone.
Go to Auto-Provisioning in Whippy.
Select the SIP user and choose Yealink as the device type.
Generate the auto-provisioning URL and copy it.
In the Yealink web interface, go to Settings > Auto-Provision.
Paste the URL into the Server URL field.
Save the configuration.
Click Auto-Provision Now to force the phone to fetch the latest Whippy Business Phone settings.
Go to Line Keys to confirm the configuration has been applied.
Tips and Best Practices
Confirm all SIP components are created before generating the auto-provisioning URL.
Paste the full URL exactly as generated, without extra spaces.
Use Auto-Provision Now to avoid waiting for the scheduled refresh.
Reboot the phone if updates do not appear immediately.
