Why it matters

Basic search helps you locate contacts instantly so you can view their details, open conversations, or take further actions without navigating through filters or large datasets.

Key Concepts

Search Bar: The primary tool for quickly locating contacts.

Searchable Fields: First name, last name, phone number, and email.

Partial Matching: You can enter part of a name or number and still see matching results.

Step-by-Step: Search for a Contact

  1. Go to Contacts from the main navigation.

  2. Type a name, email, or phone number into the search bar.

  3. Review the matching results displayed below.

  4. Select a contact to open their full contact details.

  5. From the contact view, open a conversation or manage their information.

Tips and Best Practices

  • Use partial phone numbers when you only know part of the contact’s details.

  • Try multiple fields (for example, last name instead of first name) if you cannot find a match.

  • Keep contact fields updated to ensure accurate search results.
