Searching by message keyword helps you quickly locate important details within long or multiple conversations. This makes it easy to retrieve information without manually scrolling through entire message threads.


Key Concepts

Inbox: The main workspace in Whippy where all your conversations are listed.

Search Bar: A field at the top of the Inbox that allows you to search by contact, phone number, or message keyword.

Messages Tab: A search filter that focuses results on message content instead of contacts.

Conversation: A message thread between you and a contact.


Step-by-Step: Search by Message Keyword

  1. Go to your Inbox.

    Click this link to open your Inbox directly.

  2. Locate the search bar at the top of the Inbox.

  3. Enter a keyword or phrase from the message you’re looking for.

    This can be any part of the message content.

  4. Click the Messages tab to search specifically within message text.

  5. Review the search results.

    Whippy displays all conversations containing the specified keyword.

  6. Click the conversation you want to open.

    The view will jump directly to the relevant message.

Tips and Best Practices

  • Use unique or uncommon keywords to narrow down results.

  • If no results appear, try shorter or simpler search terms.

  • Use exact phrases (in quotes) for more precise searches.

  • Clear your search bar after reviewing results to return to your full Inbox view.
