Why it matters

Searching by contact name allows you to quickly locate conversations with a specific person. This helps you follow up efficiently and review message history without manually browsing through your Inbox.

Key Concepts

Inbox: The main workspace where all your messages and conversations appear.

Search Bar: A tool at the top of the Inbox that lets you find messages by contact name, keyword, or phone number.

Conversation: A thread of messages exchanged between you and a contact.

Step-by-Step: Search by Contact Name

  1. Go to your Inbox.

Click this link to open your Inbox directly.

  2. Locate the search bar at the top of the Inbox.

  3. Type the contact’s name or a keyword related to their name.

You can enter a partial or full name.

  4. Review the search results.

Whippy displays all conversations associated with that contact name.

  5. Click the desired conversation to open it.

Tips and Best Practices

  • Use full names when possible for more accurate results.

  • Try different name variations or partial keywords if the contact doesn’t appear.

  • Clear the search bar after reviewing results to return to your full Inbox.
