Why it matters

As your inbox grows, locating a specific conversation manually can become time-consuming. Whippy’s inbox search feature allows you to find conversations instantly by searching for a contact’s name or phone number.

Key Concepts

Omni-Channel Inbox: The main Whippy hub where all SMS, email, call, and Voice AI conversations appear in one place, giving your team a single view to read, reply, and manage every interaction.

Conversation: A unified communication thread between your team and a contact, containing every message, call, or AI interaction exchanged across channels.

Contact: The person or business linked to a conversation thread, holding their details and full communication history within the Inbox.

Step-by-Step: Search for a Conversation

  1. Go to your Inbox.

Navigate to Whippy Inbox to view your active conversations.

  2. Type a name or phone number.

In the search bar at the top of the Inbox, enter the contact’s name or phone number.

  3. Select the conversation.

From the search results, click the correct conversation to open it and continue messaging.

Tips and Best Practices

  • Use full names or complete phone numbers to improve search accuracy.

  • If you don’t see results, try alternative name spellings or partial numbers.

  • Search results only include existing conversations; deleted or archived threads may not appear.

  • To search across messages inside a single conversation, use in-conversation search instead.
