The Tasks feature in Work Truck Solutions’ commercial platform empowers any Truck Pro with login credentials to create and assign tasks—either to themselves or other team members. Designed as a flexible, powerful productivity tool, it enables sales managers to effectively drive their team's progress, while also helping individual Truck Pros stay organized and efficient.
By ensuring important follow-ups and activities don’t fall through the cracks, this feature helps optimize daily workflows and maintain momentum in buyer interactions. This article will guide you through:

✅ Tasks can be assigned to yourself or another Truck Pro
🔗 Tasks may be standalone or linked to a specific buyer
🔐 Permission details:
If you do not have Sales Manager permissions and the buyer is not assigned to you, you may still create tasks for that buyer.
However, you will not be able to see their contact info or use the Commercial CRM tools to reach out directly.
Accessing the Task Feature
Step 1: Accessing Inventory Management
Once logged into your account:
Hover over to the Tasks tab on the main page’s navigation bar.
Step 2: View Tasks Page
After clicking on the Tasks tab, it will direct you to the Tasks Page. where you will see the page is split into a top section and a lower section.
Top Section:
In the top section, you'll find filter drop-downs for the following:
Buyer- You can filter the list of tasks that you are viewing by selecting a specific buyer.
Task Type- You can filter your Task by type of Phone, Email, Text Message, Mail, Appointment and On-Site Visit.
Truck Pro- This will be defaulted to viewing and assigning your own tasks, but you are able to view a task that you have assigned to another Truck Pro by selecting their name from the drop-down.
You will also see the Create Task button in the upper right corner.
Lower Section:
After you’ve made any selections using the filter drop-downs at the top of the Tasks page, you can further refine your view using the “Show” drop-down in the lower section of the page.
Use the “Show” drop-down to toggle between:
All, Done, or Not Done tasks
Tasks will then appear under one of three categories, based on their due dates:

Creating a New Task

This section explains how to create a new task for yourself or for another Truck Pro, including selecting a buyer, setting a due date, and entering task details.
Step 1: Select Truck Pro Click “Create Task”
If you're creating a task for yourself, be sure to select "Your Task" from the Truck Pro dropdown.
To assign a task to another Truck Pro, simply choose their name from the same dropdown menu.
Step 2: Click “Create Task”
Step 3: Fill in Task Details
In the Create New Task pop-up:
(A) Buyer: Choose the buyer from the drop-down if you want this task associated with a certain buyer.
To set a general reminder task not associated with a buyer, you will want to select “None”.
(B) Task Type: Use this drop-down if you want to specify what type of task you're creating which will allow you to easily filter your list down to a specific type of task. You can select from Phone Call, Email, Text Message, Mail, Appointment and On-site Visit.
(C) Title: This should be something high level to remind you what the task is about.
(D) Description: Add as much detail and information that you will need to complete the task.
(E) Due Date: Set an appropriate due date (defaults to today).
Click Create to save and assign the task.
Step 4: Save New Task
Once you have filled out all of your desired fields for the task, you can click the Create button in the bottom right corner of the Create Task pop-up.

To help keep your task information accurate and up to date, you can edit task details at any time. This allows you to adjust information such as the buyer, task type, description, or due date as your workflow changes.
Step 1: Navigate to the selected Task
To begin editing a task, click on the title of the task or click on the drop-down arrow in the far right column for the selected task.

The task pop-up window will now open up for you where you can begin making any desired edits to the existing task. You can edit the following details:

To keep your task list clean and focused, you can delete tasks that are no longer needed. This helps ensure that only relevant and active tasks remain visible in your list.
Step 1: Navigate to the selected Task
Step 2: Delete Task
Click on the drop-down arrow in the far right column for the selected task and select the Delete Task option.
Marking Tasks as Complete

To help keep your task list organized, you can mark tasks as complete—removing them from your task list. There are two ways to do this:
Option 1: Check the box next to the task title.
Option 2: Complete via Task Details
Click the ‘down arrow’ to the right of the task’s due date and select Task Details.
The Task Details pop-up will appear, allowing you to review all information associated with the task.
If the task is complete, use the State drop-down and select Done.
Click Save in the bottom-right corner to finalize the update.
