Overview
When you manually create a listing in your Inventory Management system, it will remain on your page until you manually remove it. Unlike vehicles from your feed, which automatically drop off once they leave that feed, you need to manually mark any vehicle you created as "moved" after it has been sold, traded, or otherwise removed from inventory. This process ensures that your inventory remains up to date and accurate.
Follow the steps below to learn how to mark a vehicle as moved within your Inventory Management system.
Before We Get Started
Let's go over some key details:
Once you mark a vehicle as "moved," this action cannot be undone.
Vehicles will automatically be dropped from your inventory when we no longer see it in their inventory feed.
The feature explored in this article is only available for Truck Pros with Sales Manager or Inventory Manager level permissions who also have the Edit Vehicle setting on Truck Pro Management set to either "Editing" or "Editing and Creatingβ.
How to Mark Vehicle as Moved
Step 1: Locate the Vehicle
From your Inventory Management page, find the vehicle you wish to mark as moved. You can use search filters to quickly locate the specific vehicle if necessary. Learn more about using Advanced Search features on Inventory Management here for a refresher.
Step 2: Access Vehicle Options
Once you've located the vehicle, click the drop-down arrow in the Actions column for that vehicle.
Step 3: Select "Mark As Moved"
From the dropdown menu, choose Mark As Moved which will prompt a pop-up window to appear.
Step 4: Enter Movement Details
In the pop-up window, you will be asked to add additional movement information about the specific vehicle that you have selected. Select one of the following status options:
Moved
Sold
Traded
OEM Return
Expired Listing
Pro Tip: If you select "Sold," you must either select an existing buyer or create a new one, as well as record the sale price. This will help you maintain accurate records in your Past Inventory.
After selecting the appropriate status type, enter the date the vehicle moved, body details and relevant notes.
Step 5: Save Changes
Once you've filled in all the required information, click the Save button in the bottom right corner of the pop-up window.
The vehicle will be moved to Past Inventory and no longer appear on:
Inventory Management
Inventory on your Vehicle Search Page
Any locator site where it may have been displayed
