How to Edit Vehicle Display Settings

Overview

Managing how your vehicles appear online is just as important as pricing them accurately. Within the Edit Pricing Settings pop-up, one of the features available to use is the Display tab. You can choose to show or hide the selected vehicle, mark them as private, showcase them, limit visibility to internal tools like VAST. Additionally, you can customize pricing visibility, control the On-Lot Status, add disclaimers, or even include walkaround videos to enhance your listings.

Before We Get Started

  • You must have Sales Manager or Inventory Manager level permissions to access the Inventory Management page on your Work Truck Solutions commercial site along with Vehicle Edit Permissions- Editing and Creating and Manage Pricing permissions turned on.

Accessing the Edit Pricing Settings Pop-Up

You can open the pricing pop-up in two ways:

Option 1: Through Inventory Management

  1. Hover over Tools in the main navigation bar and select Inventory Management.

  2. Locate the vehicle using Advanced Search or the Search Bar (by Stock Number or VIN).

  3. After finding the vehicle you want to edit:

    1. Click the Actions dropdown or Edit Pricing button in the Final Price column for the selected vehicle to open the Pricing modal.

Option 2: Through a specific Vehicle Detail Page

  1. Navigate to the specific Vehicle Detail Page for the listing.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the VDP and click the Pricing button in the red lock section to open the modal.

Both methods will take you to the same Edit Pricing Settings pop-up. The following steps apply regardless of how you accessed it.

Steps to Edit Vehicle Display Settings

Note: All of the settings below will affect the selected vehicle only

Step 1: Access Edit Pricing Settings window

  • Once you have clicked the Pricing button for the selected vehicle from either starting point, this will open the Edit Pricing Settings window.

Step 2: Select which Pricing tool you want to access

If you want to edit the Final Sale tab, follow steps from the How to Add a Final or Sale Price (with Start & End Dates-optional) article. If you want to edit the Rebates and Fees tab, we recommend viewing our How to Add Pricing Line Items (Rebates/Incentives or Fees) article.   • Click on the Display tab at the top of the Edit Pricing Settings modal to access all the tools for customizing how the selected vehicle is shown across your online platforms.

Step 3: Adjust Vehicle Display Settings

Visibility Options:

  • Show (Default option): Vehicle is publicly visible across any buyer facing Vehicle Search Page.

  • Hide: Completely hides the vehicle from buyer view along with hiding it on locator sites and Comvoy.

  • Feature: Pins the vehicle to the top of the Vehicle Search Page on your Work Truck Solutions commercial site. This is a great tool to showcase an aging unit or to highlight a vehicle that you had marked on sale.

    • Note: Using the Feature option will not affect the placement of the selected vehicle on the Comvoy search page or locator sites.

  • Private: Hides the vehicle from buyer view, but allows access via a private URL link to the Vehicle Detail Page if sent to a buyer.

  • VAST Only: Limits visibility to the Vehicle Acquisition Search Tool (VAST)—not visible to buyers.

Hide Pricing:

  • Select this checkbox to hide vehicle pricing information from being displayed for the selected vehicle. If you want to hide pricing for all of your vehicles, you will need to visit the Preferences Page.

On-Lot Status:

  • On-Lot: The vehicle is currently available on the dealer's lot and ready for viewing or purchase.

  • In Transit: Check if the vehicle is not yet on the lot.

  • Being Built: The vehicle is currently being built and has not yet been shipped to the dealership.

Pricing Disclaimer:

  • You also have the option of entering a custom message for the selected vehicle (e.g., If you marked this vehicle as In Transit, you could enter “This vehicle will arrive on 10/25/202X.”)

Dealer Video:

  • Paste a YouTube URL for a walkaround or promotional video.

Step 4: Finalizing Your Changes

  • If you only need to make changes using the Body Cost tab and are satisfied with your updates, you can click the Close button in the bottom right corner of the Edit Pricing Settings pop-up to exit.

  • If you wish to continue editing other pricing details, you can easily click on the relevant tab (e.g., Final Price, Rebates and Fees or Display) to explore additional options and make further changes to your vehicle's pricing or display settings.
