How to Track a Customer's Vehicles of Interest

See and manage the vehicles a customer is interested in on the customer record.

The Vehicles of interest tab shows every unit a customer is looking at — from quotes, leads, or vehicles you add yourself — so you can focus follow-up on what they actually want.

Before You Start

  • Role & Permissions: Salespeople can do this for their own customers. Sales Managers and Admins can do it for any customer. Analytics and Inventory Manager users can view customers but can't make changes. See User Roles and What Each Can Do.

  • Before you begin: The customer record must already exist.

Steps to View Vehicles of Interest

Step 1: Open the customer

  • Go to Customers and open the customer record.

Step 2: Open Vehicles of interest

  • Click the Vehicles of interest tab.

Step 3: Review the list

  • Scan columns for Unit, Source, On lot status, Listing price, and Date added. Use Sort to order by Stock #, Price, or Added date.

  • Source shows how the vehicle got on the list: Quoted, Manually added, or the website a lead came through, such as Comvoy or your Work Truck Solutions–powered website.

Step 4: Add a vehicle (optional)

  • Click Add from inventory, or open more options for By Year Make Model or As free text. Choose the option that fits where you are with the customer:

    • Add from inventory: you have the vehicle in stock and know the customer wants it. A search box opens where you can search by VIN, stock number, year, make, model, or body type.

    • By Year Make Model: you know what the customer wants, but you don't currently have one in stock. Guided fields let you enter the year, make, model, and body type.

    • As free text: you're early in the discovery process and still working out exact needs. Type a description in the text box — for example, "Needs 3 service trucks, open to new or used."

  • With the CRM add-on, vehicles from quotes also appear here automatically.

Note: To remove a unit, use Remove vehicle on that row.

Good to Know

  • Sold vehicles stay in the list.

  • Removing a quoted vehicle from Vehicles of interest doesn't change the quote.

Conclusion

Keeping vehicles of interest on the customer record makes it clear what to quote, stock, or follow up on next.
