Setup and Configuration of Text Notifications for Staff

How are Text Notifications configured in my WorkBright account?

If you have added WorkBright's Text Notifications Feature to your account, the article below will show how the feature may be enabled for your staff after it has been activated by our team. If you have not yet purchased Text Notifications and are interested in learning more about the feature, please reach out to our Account Development department at AD@workbright.com.

How do I request to have Text Notifications enabled for my staff?

Visit the in-app landing page, fill out the form, and a customer account representative will be in touch.

Once enabled, full-access administrators will be able to choose Text Notifications for Onboarding and Remote I-9.

Can an administrator turn off the feature?

At any time, an account administrator can change the notification preference to Email, which will disable the Text Notification feature.

Can a staff member change their preference?

No, only administrators can change a staff’s notification preference. Staff can reply STOP to opt out and received email notifications instead

Can I use both email and text?

We are evaluating a “both” option in the future, but at this time we allow choosing either email or text.

Can I enable Text Notification reminders for Remote I-9 separately from Onboarding notifications?

Yes, there is a different toggle for each option under General Settings.

Who has access to enable this feature for an account and individual staff?

Only full-access administrators can enable the feature for an account. Full-access administrators and restricted administrators can enable the feature for individual staff.

Is there a new permission for restricted admins?

No, there is not a separate permission for restricted administrators, they will only be able to view/edit the Text Notifications toggle for staff they have access to.

Can I change the preference per individual staff member?

Yes, administrators can change the delivery method for individual staff members when they are added or updated.

Can this be configured using Groups?

No, the option to enable is for the entire account or an individual staff member.
