Yes, a staff member will need to provide consent to allow WorkBright to send text notifications.
IF the staff member is brand new to the WorkBright system and their phone number was not added when the company admin created the profile, they will be prompted to provide SMS consent (Yes or No toggle) when adding their phone number to complete the profile. If texting is activated and set as the Notification Method in their Account Settings, they will receive text messages until they opt-out, remove consent or an admin changes the status in their profile.
IF the staff member is brand new to our system and their phone number was added by the company admin when they created the profile, they will receive the welcome text message and must consent when completing their profile to receive any additional text messages. If they consent, they will receive text messages until they opt-out, remove consent or an admin changes the status in their profile.
IF the staff member is existing in the system with a phone number and a company activates text messaging functionality, they will see a banner the next time they login asking them to provide text messaging consent (Yes or No). If texting is activated and set as the Notification Method in their Account Settings they will not receive text messages until they consent.
Note: at any point, even if consent has been previously given, a staff member will have the ability to reply STOP to a text message they receive from WorkBright which will override and change their consent status and stop all future text messages. At any time, the staff member can also edit their consent choice in their profile to stop text messages.
