Creating New Forms (3.1): A "Read-Only" Document

I have a form that my employee or contractor simply needs to read. I don't need a signature or any other information. How do I create this form?

Creating a new read-only form for your employees and contractors to view, along with their other onboarding documents, is one of the simplest forms to create in WorkBright. Here’s how:

Go to Onboarding > Forms > + New Form

On the next screen, you can name the form, provide additional instructions, and set the deadline. When you reach “Form Body, upload your PDF. Then select “Acknowledgment” under submission type.

By selecting “Acknowledgment,” you will remove the requirement for a signature from your employee. Instead, the employee will simply see the document you’ve loaded, along with a simple checkbox to acknowledge receipt of the form:

Just a heads up -- should you forget to change the submission type from Digital Signature to Acknowledgment, but save the new form, the form submission will lock as a Signature form. Note that you are not able to change the submission type on the “Edit Form” page after a form has been created and saved:

In this instance, the employee will be required to sign the document as seen below, and WorkBright will stamp a big signature pane across the bottom of the last page of the PDF.

If this was NOT your intention, simply reach out to WorkBright at support@workbright.com. One of our engineers can change the document from a signature form to an acknowledgment for you, quickly and easily.
