Requesting Information from Candidates

Your platform allows you to request additional information from candidates directly within their profile.

This guide explains how to request information, where to view pending requests, how to check a candidate’s progress, and what happens once a candidate completes a request.

Open a Candidate Profile

From the main menu on the left, click Candidates. Locate the candidate you want to review, then click anywhere on their row to open the Candidate Details page.

Click Request Information

From the Candidate Details page, locate the Request Information button within the profile.

Click Request Information to begin requesting additional details from the candidate.

Select the Information You Require

The Request Information – Basic window will open.

From the dropdown menu, select the information you want the candidate to provide. This may include items such as:

  • Family name

  • Given name

  • Preferred name

  • Phone number

  • Gender

You can select one or multiple fields as required.

Once selected, click Request Information to send the request.

Understand What Happens After Sending a Request

Once the request is sent:

  • The candidate is notified that additional information is required

  • You will see pending tasks in the top of their profile

  • The request will be tracked within the platform until completed

The candidate can complete the request directly from their portal.

View Pending Information Requests

To see candidates with outstanding requests, return to the Candidates List. Click the Pending requests status bucket at the top of the page.

This will display all candidates who currently have information requests awaiting completion.

Check a Candidate’s Pending Requests

Open a candidate profile from the Pending requests list. Within the Candidate Details page, you can see which information has been requested and whether it has been completed.

This allows you to track progress without needing to follow up manually.

What Happens When a Candidate Completes a Request

When a candidate completes a requested item:

  • The information is automatically updated in their profile

  • The pending request is changed from pending to Completed

  • The candidate’s status updates accordingly

You’ll be able to review the updated information directly in the Candidate Details page.

  • Clicking Completed will take you to the section to review the information.

  • Clicking the speech bubble will show you the instructions you provided the candidate. You can also resend this request if they didn't complete it correctly.

  • Clicking the X will remove this request from the candidate as no longer required.

Any platform notifications related to completed requests will also be displayed.
