Turn text into tasks
Alternatively, you can go to a tile’s block (click) settings and transform any text into actionable tasks.
Select text block or blocks you want to transform into a task.
Click the drag handle to the left of the text block.
Select “Turn into” to convert the text into an actionable task.
Note that once you assign a due date or an assignee to any text block, it will be automatically converted into a task. To do this:
Select the text block(s) you want to transform into a task.
Click the drag handle to the left of the text block.
Click the Calendar icon to assign a due date and convert the text into a task.
Click the Person icon to assign the task to someone.
This makes it easy to turn existing text into actionable, trackable tasks in just a few clicks.
Where Can You Create Task
Tasks can be created and managed across various sections of xTiles:
My Planner: My Planner is the central spot for keeping track of all your tasks in xTiles. It pulls every task together from all across xTiles so you always have a clear view of what needs to be done. You can add tasks inside extra tiles, drop them onto a calendar, or keep them organized in the main Task Collection to manage your tasks as a datebase.
The Task Panel is a simple sidebar that helps you manage and view all your tasks in one place. You can open it from the top-right corner of your workspace. From here, you can quickly add tasks for today, check what’s coming up, review your inbox and see tasks assigned to others, and look back at everything you’ve already completed.
Creative Pages/Collection: Tasks can be initiated directly within tiles on your creative pages or inside items on collection-type pages.
Tasks can be added to cards within your collections, or through the Tasks Collection that appears in every project once tasks have been created. This helps you keep all your tasks organized and easy to manage.
