Set the task’s due date

Updated over 2 months ago

Due dates allow you to set a specific date for when a task needs to be completed. This helps you stay on track and ensures you receive a notification on the exact date you’ve scheduled it for.

There are several ways to assign a due date to a task:

eXtra Tiles in My Planner:

When you create a task in My Planner using eXtra Tiles, the task is automatically assigned a due date. Any task you create inside an eXtra Tile will automatically use that day as its due date, so you don’t need to set it manually in the task settings.

From the Calendar Icon

Hover over the task block and click the calendar icon on the right to select a date.

From the Block Menu

Open the block menu on the left side of a task (six-dot icon), click the calendar icon at the tip and then choose a date.

From the expand mode

  1. Create the task.

  2. Hover over the task and click the expand icon on the right side.

  3. Select “Expand to Note.”

  4. In the “Due date” property, select the date you want the task to be completed.

By expanding your task into a note, you can now open it to add more details and nest additional information inside.

Note:

  • A task can have only one due date, and it becomes overdue once the date has passed.

  • If a task doesn't have a due date, it is displayed on the task panel as due "today" and remains so until completed.

  • If a task is overdue, it is displayed as "overdue" on the task panel and in project until it is completed.
