Shared Spaces: Collaborate Efficiently in xTiles

Updated over 3 months ago

Shared Spaces make accessing information easier and expand collaboration options for every group. You can use Shared Spaces to make any type of teamwork convenient—whether you’re working with your team, friends, or family. This article will guide you through the features of Shared Spaces, explaining how they work and the benefits they offer.

Shared Spaces vs Personal Spaces

xTiles offers two types of Spaces: Personal and Shared.

  • Personal Spaces are for individual use — organizing personal projects, planning your day, or keeping private notes.

  • Shared Spaces are built for collaboration. They let you invite others to work together, share information, assign tasks, and manage projects in a single workspace. Shared Spaces are ideal for team projects, group planning, or any collaborative effort.

While you can collaborate in Personal Spaces as well, it requires inviting people to each project individually by entering their email. This gives you precise control but can be time-consuming if you need to collaborate frequently. In contrast, Shared Spaces let you invite members to the entire Space, so they automatically see all added projects and can collaborate on them immediately.

You can view all your Shared Spaces on the left panel of the Homepage, alongside your Personal Spaces

Note: On the Free Plan, you can have only one Shared Space. Upgrading to the Team Plan allows you to create multiple Shared Spaces.
