YourKind uses a credit-based system to power your SMS and email marketing. Credits give you the flexibility to send campaigns at your own pace, whether you prefer a monthly subscription or one-off top-ups as needed.
Understanding Credits
Credits are the currency behind your YourKind marketing tools. Each marketing action consumes a specific number of credits:
1 credit = 1 SMS message (up to 160 characters)
0.1 credits = 1 email
This means that for every 1 credit spent, you can send either 1 SMS or 10 emails. Credits are shared across both channels, so you can allocate them based on what works best for your audience.
💡 Tip
SMS campaigns boast a 98% open rate, making them one of the most effective channels for time-sensitive promotions and event reminders.
Subscription Plans
YourKind offers subscription plans that provide a monthly allocation of credits at a discounted rate. Subscriptions are ideal if you send campaigns regularly and want to lock in a lower per-credit cost.
To subscribe to a credits plan:
Navigate to the '+' Credits button at the top menu OR the credits plan section under Finances > Billing from the left-hand menu.
Browse the available subscription tiers and choose the plan that suits your volume.
Enter your payment details and confirm.
Your credits will be topped up automatically each billing cycle. If you exceed your monthly allocation, you can purchase additional credits as a one-off top-up at any time.
💡 Tip
Subscription plans offer the best value per credit. If you plan to send more than a handful of campaigns each month, a subscription will save you money compared to one-off top-ups.

One-Off Credit Top-Ups
If you prefer not to commit to a monthly subscription, you can purchase credit packs on demand. This is a great option for organisers who run events occasionally or want to boost their balance ahead of a major campaign.
To purchase a one-off credit top-up:
Navigate to the '+' Credits button at the top menu OR the credits plan section under Finances > Billing from the left-hand menu.
Select the amount of credits you would like to purchase.
Click Purchase Credits.
Top-up credits are added to your balance immediately and do not expire, so you can use them whenever you are ready.
ℹ️ Note
Top-Up credits do not expire.
Checking Your Credit Balance
You can view your remaining credit balance at any time from your dashboard. Your balance is displayed in the top navbar section and is updated in real time as campaigns are sent.
⚠️ Caution
If you do not have enough credits to cover a campaign, the campaign will not be sent. Always verify your balance before scheduling a large blast.
Managing Your Subscription
You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time from the Finances > Billing section. Changes to your plan will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
If you cancel your subscription, any remaining credits in your balance will stay available until they are used. You will simply stop receiving the monthly top-up.
