YourKind includes a built-in email marketing tool that allows you to reach your audience directly from your dashboard. Whether you are promoting an upcoming event, sharing updates, or re-engaging past attendees, email campaigns are a cost-effective way to stay connected with your community.

Why Use YourKind for Email Marketing?

Unlike standalone email platforms, YourKind's email tool is directly connected to your audience database. This means you can:

  • Send campaigns to everyone who has ever purchased a ticket or registered for an event.

  • Target specific segments based on event history, labels, location and more.

  • Track performance alongside your ticket sales and SMS campaigns in one place.

πŸ’‘ Tip

Email cost just 0.1 credit per email, making them significantly more affordable than SMS for large-scale communications.

Before You Begin

To send email campaigns, you will need:

  • An audience β€” at least one contact in your database with an email address.

  • Credits β€” email campaigns consume 0.1 credits per recipient. Ensure you have sufficient credits in your balance.

  • Your brand profile set up β€” your brand name, logo, and social links will appear in the email, so ensure these are configured in your settings.

Navigating to Email Marketing

To access the email marketing tool:

  1. Log in to your YourKind dashboard.

  2. Select Marketing from the left-hand menu.

  3. Choose Mailer from the submenu.

From here, you can create a new campaign, view past campaigns, and monitor performance metrics such as open rates and click-through rates.

Creating Your First Email Campaign

To create a new email campaign:

  1. Click New Campaign or Create Email.

  2. Enter a subject line that is clear and compelling.

  3. Compose your email body using the built-in composer. You can format text, add content blocks and elements.

  4. Select your audience β€” choose to send to your entire database or a specific segment.

  5. Preview your email to ensure everything looks correct.

  6. Click Send to dispatch your campaign immediately, or schedule it for a later time if available.

πŸ’‘ Tip

Explore all of the custom elements and blocks we have to offer, including: text blocks, dividers, images, buttons, gallaries, reviews, and FAQs.

Email Best Practices

  • Keep subject lines short and specific β€” aim for under 50 characters to maximise open rates.

  • Include a clear call to action β€” tell your audience exactly what you want them to do (e.g. "Get your tickets now").

  • Segment your audience β€” sending relevant content to the right people improves engagement and reduces unsubscribes.

  • Be consistent β€” regular communication keeps your brand front of mind without overwhelming your audience.

⚠️ Caution

Ensure you have permission to email your contacts. YourKind collects consent at the point of purchase, but always respect opt-out requests and comply with applicable anti-spam legislation.

πŸ’‘ Tip
With email marketing, less is more...

Sending too many emails can increase your opt-out rate.
