Direct promo links make it easy to share exclusive discounts with specific audiences. Instead of asking attendees to manually enter a code, the discount is applied as soon as they click the link.

How Direct Promo Links Work

A direct promo link is your standard event page URL with the promo code attached. When someone clicks the link, they land on your event page with the discount already applied to their checkout.

This is useful for:

  • Sharing exclusive discounts via email or SMS campaigns.

  • Giving influencers or partners a unique link to share with their audience.

  • Running targeted promotions on social media.

  • Providing VIP or loyalty discounts to specific customer segments.

Creating a Direct Promo Link

To create a direct link with a promo code applied:

  1. First, make sure you have already created a promo code for your event. If you have not, create one from the Promo Codes section of your event.

  2. Go to the promo code you want to use.

  3. Copy the Direct Link that is generated for that promo code.

  4. Share this link with your target audience.

When attendees click the link, they will see the discounted price on your event page without needing to enter anything manually.

πŸ’‘ Tip

Use different promo codes for different channels (e.g. one for Instagram, one for email, one for SMS). This lets you track which channels are driving the most conversions in your analytics.

Where to Share Direct Promo Links

Direct promo links work anywhere you can share a URL:

  • Email campaigns β€” Include the link in your email marketing for a seamless discount experience.

  • SMS blasts β€” Send the link via SMS for high open-rate promotions.

  • Social media β€” Post the link in your Instagram bio, Facebook posts, or stories.

  • Partner and influencer outreach β€” Give each partner their own unique promo link to share.

  • Website β€” Embed the link on your own website or landing page.

Tracking Promo Link Performance

You can track ticket sales, and 'uses' from the Promo Code section within each event. By regularly tracking performance, you will uncover which promo codes and channels are performing best, helping you optimise your marketing spend.

⚠️ Caution

Direct promo links respect the same rules as the underlying promo code. If the code has a usage limit, expiry date, or is restricted to certain ticket types, those rules still apply when the link is used.
