No Fees on Free Tickets
Free tickets on YourKind are completely free. There are no platform fees, no service charges, and no hidden costs for either you or your attendees.
How It Works
When you create a ticket type and set the price to $0, YourKind does not charge any fee. This applies to:
Free events where all tickets are $0.
Free ticket types within a paid event (for example, a free general admission tier alongside paid VIP tickets).
RSVP events where attendees register without paying.
Guest list entries added by the organiser.
📌 Important Note
YourKind covers the costs associated with ticket delivery (email and SMS) for free tickets. There is no charge to you or your attendees for sending confirmation emails or SMS tickets on free orders.
What About Paid Tickets?
There are two types of fees associated with paid tickets:
Payment processing fee — charged by Stripe, our payment processor, to handle the transaction.
YourKind service fee — YourKind's platform fee for ticketing.
These two fees are combined into a single fee of for simplicity. By default, this fee is passed on to the attendee at checkout. However, you also have the option to absorb the fee yourself, so the ticket price your attendees see is exactly what they pay.
Why This Matters
Some platforms charge fees even on free tickets, or require you to be on a paid plan to issue free tickets. YourKind does not. You can run unlimited free events and issue unlimited free tickets at no cost.
💡 Tip
Free tickets are a great way to build your audience database. Every free ticket still captures the attendee's name, email, and phone number in your CRM.
