Afterpay is a buy now, pay later (BNPL) service that lets customers split a purchase into four equal, interest-free instalments. It is one of the most widely used BNPL platforms globally, and is available at checkout on YourKind events where organisers have enabled it.
How it works for attendees
At checkout, the attendee selects Afterpay as their payment method
They pay 25% of the total ticket price upfront
The remaining three payments are automatically charged every two weeks
No interest is applied as long as payments are made on time
Attendees will need an Afterpay account to use this option. Approval is instant and does not require a credit check.
Is it free for attendees?
Afterpay is free for attendees as long as they pay on time. Late fees may apply if a payment is missed. Afterpay manages this directly with the attendee. As the organiser, you receive the full ticket value upfront.
Where is Afterpay available?
Afterpay is available in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. In the UK it operates under the name Clearpay.
Why Enable Afterpay?
Enabling Afterpay may help increase conversions, particularly for higher-priced tickets. Attendees who might hesitate at a large upfront cost are more likely to complete a purchase when they can split it into smaller payments.
