Selling In Foreign Currencies

Sell to attendees in their local currency, wherever your event is.

Written by Andrew

If you run events across different countries, you can set each event to sell in the relevant currency. Attendees see and pay in the currency you choose at no extra cost to them, and with no exchange rate guesswork at checkout.

How it works

When creating an event, simply select the currency you want to sell in. Attendees will see ticket prices and complete checkout in that currency.

  1. Log in to your YourKind Dashboard

  2. Create a new event or experience

  3. In the event settings, select your preferred currency

  4. Continue setting up your event as normal

ℹ️ Note:

Foreign currency sales carry an additional 2% cross-currency conversion fee, absorbed by you (not the buyer)

Multi-currency settlement

If you regularly sell in foreign currencies, you can hold balances in multiple currencies and pay them out to separate bank accounts in each currency, without paying foreign exchange fees on every transaction.

For example, an Australian organiser running events in New Zealand and the US can hold AUD, NZD, and USD balances separately and pay each out to the relevant bank account.

Multi-currency settlement is powered by Stripe and is currently available in the following regions: Australia, United States, United Kingdom, European Union, UAE, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Singapore.

ℹ️ Note:
You require a separate bank account for each currency you wish receive funds.

For the full list of supported currencies and fees, see Stripe's multi-currency settlement documentation: https://docs.stripe.com/payouts/multicurrency-settlement
