Live Accounts: Transition Path, Payout Caps, and Allocation Rules

Your complete guide to understanding how YRM Prop transitions traders from simulated funded accounts into Live capital trading.

Updated over a week ago

What Is a Live Account?

A Live Account represents the final stage at YRM Prop, where you trade real capital instead of simulated funding. Once you are moved to Live:

  • You no longer trade on simulated accounts (Prime or Instant Prime).

  • All of your eligible accounts are consolidated into one Live account.

  • Payout caps are removed โ€” but risk controls and professional expectations are more strict.

Transitioning to Live is both a reward for consistency and a responsibility โ€” only disciplined, sustainable traders are invited.

When Can You Be Called to Live?

You may be transitioned to Live in several scenarios:

  • After 2nd Payout: Early call-ups are possible if risk management sees exceptional consistency.

  • Most Common โ€” After 4th Payout: The majority of traders are invited after completing 4 successful payouts.

  • Beyond 4th Payout: In rare cases, traders may continue to 5th or 6th payout until capped.

  • Forced Transition at Max Payout Caps: If you reach the maximum combined payout cap (see below), you are required to move to Live.

๐Ÿ“Œ Important: You cannot reject a Live transition. If you decline, your accounts are blocked, and profits are forfeited.

Maximum Payout Caps Before Live (Combined Across Accounts)

Lifetime payout caps are calculated across all of your funded accounts combined. Once the combined cap is reached, you must transition to Live.

Account Size

Maximum Payout Cap (Before Live)

$25K

$35,000 total payouts

$50K

$50,000 total payouts

$100K

$75,000 total payouts

$150K

$85,000 total payouts

Example:
If you have 2 ร— $50K accounts and 1 ร— $150K account, the total maximum payout before Live would be:

  • $50,000 (combined cap for the two $50K accounts) + $85,000 (cap for the $150K account) = $135,000 total.

Most traders will be called to Live much earlier, often at or before the 4th payout cycle.

The 16% Live Capital Transfer Rule

When moving to Live, only 16% of each accountโ€™s size can be carried forward.

  • This applies per account before consolidation.

  • If you have multiple funded accounts, each one contributes up to 16%, then they are merged into a single Live account.

Account Size

Max Capital Moved to Live

$25K

$4,000

$50K

$8,000

$100K

$16,000

$150K

$24,000

Profit Split in Live Accounts

Once in Live, payout rules change from funded accounts:

  • First $10,000 withdrawn (cumulative): 90/10 split (you keep 90%, YRM receives 10%).

  • After $10,000 in payouts: 80/20 split (you keep 80%, YRM receives 20%).

๐Ÿ“Œ This structure rewards early Live profitability while ensuring long-term sustainability.

Transition Scenarios & Examples

๐Ÿ”น Example 1: Standard Path (Single Account, 4th Payout)

  • Trader has a $50K Instant Prime.

  • Completes 4th payout, lifetime payouts = $9,500.

  • Balance shows $12,000 profits after 4th cycle.

  • Trader receives the 4th payout. $8,000 (16% of $50K) is transferred to Live.

  • Live Profit Split: First $10K they withdraw will be 90/10, then 80/20 afterward.

๐Ÿ”น Example 2: Multi-Account Transition

  • Trader has 3 ร— $50K accounts.

    • Account A (4th payout): $15K profit

    • Account B (3rd payout): $15K profit

    • Account C (2nd payout): $15K profit

Process:

  • Account A โ†’ Final payout issued, then $8K transferred to Live.

  • Accounts B & C โ†’ Both above threshold, each contributes $8K after payout.

  • Consolidated Live Account = $24K ($8K ร— 3).

  • Profit Split: Traderโ€™s first $10K withdrawn from the Live account = 90/10, after that = 80/20.

๐Ÿ”น Example 3: Early Transition After 2nd Payout

  • Trader with a $100K account earns $15K by 2nd payout.

  • 16% cap = $16K.

  • Trader is called to Live early. Entire $15K is transferred (no additional payout).

  • Profit Split applies immediately: first $10K at 90/10, balance onward at 80/20.

๐Ÿ”น Example 4: Forced Transition at Lifetime Cap

  • Trader with a $150K account reaches $85,000 in total payouts.

  • Even if still trading, they cannot request further payouts.

  • Transition is mandatory, and $24K (16% of $150K) is carried into Live.

  • Profit split: First $10K = 90/10, remainder = 80/20.

๐Ÿ”น Example 5: Below 16% at Transition

  • Trader with a $50K account is called to Live after 3rd payout.

  • Current profit: $6,500.

  • Cap = $8,000.

  • Since profit is below the cap, all $6,500 is transferred โ€” no extra payout.

  • Profit split: all payouts start under the 90/10 rule until cumulative $10K withdrawn.

30-Day Live Review

After 30 days in a Live account:

  • Our risk management team reviews your trading.

  • If you demonstrate discipline, consistency, and profitability, you may be allocated more capital.

  • This is discretionary, not guaranteed, but serves as a strong incentive for sustainable performance.

Key Rules to Remember

Lifetime payout caps apply across all accounts combined.
Only 16% of each account size carries into Live.
Multiple accounts are consolidated into one Live account.
Rejecting a Live transition = closure and forfeiture of profits.
