We understand how important it is to access your funds when you need them.

If you’re unable to take a payout, don’t worry—here are some common reasons why this might happen and what you can do.

You just started a new job

ZayZoon estimates your available balance based on past earnings. As a new hire, your account won’t reflect an available balance until after your first paycheck is received.

While you wait:

  • Refer a coworker and earn a $10 credit

  • Explore ZayZoon Perks for exclusive savings on everyday essentials

  • Check out our Financial Resources for budgeting support

Your account was disabled

If your account is disabled, you won't be able to take more payouts. Learn more about disabled accounts.

You've reached one of the payout limits

To encourage financial wellness, ZayZoon applies limits on how much you can access between pay periods. These limits reset at different periods.

While you wait for a reset, use this time to explore:

You owe a balance from the last pay cycle

This can happen if:

  • Payroll only partially processed your repayment

  • Your payroll provider was delayed in syncing with ZayZoon

🔍 Check your Activity page to review any outstanding repayments.

You took payouts late in the pay period

If you withdrew funds after your employer processed payroll, those payouts may roll over to your next cycle, reducing your current balance.

Your My Balance page will update regularly through “Daily Balance Increases” or “Shifts Added,” depending on your account.

Your repayment is overdue

Sometimes repayments become overdue due to:

  • Payroll sync delays

  • A lower-than-expected paycheck

  • Changes in your payroll provider or employer

You may be able to repay your balance manually* to restore payout access.

*Note: Manual repayment is not available for weekly pay cycles. If you’re paid weekly, you’ll need to wait until your next payday.

Payroll or Employer Changes

If you recently changed your payroll provider or employer, data transfer delays might prevent your recent hours or earnings from showing in the app. For payroll provider changes, allow for up to two business days for updates. If you’ve changed employers, make sure to update your payroll details in the ZayZoon app by selecting “Update Payroll” and entering your new Company ID and Employee ID. Contact ZayZoon support if issues persist.

Low Available Wages

ZayZoon requires users to have a minimum payout threshold of $20. If your available wages are below this threshold or recent work hours haven’t been updated, you may not be able to take a payout immediately.

Payout page error or missing payroll data

Your available balance depends on payroll data shared by your employer.

If that data is incomplete or missing, you may see one of these messages when trying to take a payout:

  • “We don’t have any earning data.”

  • “We haven’t received any attendance data since your last pay period.”

  • “We can’t confirm this amount will be deducted from your paycheck on [date].”

  • “Our records show that you were last paid on [date].”

When this happens, payouts may be paused temporarily to avoid overdrawing. Additionally, certain earnings like holiday pay and bonus pay are not counted toward your available balance. Ensure that ZayZoon has access to up-to-date payroll data, and consider uploading recent pay stubs if necessary to avoid delays in payout calculations.

Additionally, certain pay types such as holiday pay, bonuses, or vacation pay do not contribute to "Available Wages" because they fall outside regular earnings used for balance calculations.

What you can do:

You just came back from vacation/leave

ZayZoon requires recent payroll data to calculate your balance. If you’ve been on vacation, parental, or medical leave, your balance may not update right away.

Your balance will refresh on payday or when new payroll data is received—whichever comes first.

You're under 18 years old

Customers under 18 can only access one payout per pay period to help support healthy spending habits.

In the meantime:
Refer a coworker to earn a credit, or wait until your next payday.

Summary

If you can’t take a payout, there’s usually a simple reason—and often a quick fix.

While you wait, remember you can always:
