Partners in Zeeg are external collaborators who can help manage your workspace with full admin access—without consuming a paid seat. This feature is designed for agencies, consultants, freelancers, and support teams who need to configure and maintain client workspaces.
The Partners feature requires a Professional plan or higher.
What are Partners?
Partners are trusted external collaborators who receive admin-level access to your Zeeg workspaces without using one of your paid seats. Unlike regular users who join teams and host meetings, partners focus exclusively on workspace management and configuration.
They have some key features:
Free to add – Partners don't count toward your seat limit
Full admin access – Can configure scheduling pages, teams, integrations, and workspace settings
Billing protection – Cannot access billing or subscription settings
Management-only – Cannot host or attend meetings as participants
Why use Partners?
The Partners feature is ideal for several scenarios:
Agencies managing client accounts
Digital agencies and consulting firms can set up and maintain client workspaces without requiring paid seats in each client account. Your account managers get full access to configure scheduling, CRM, and integrations while keeping costs predictable.
Freelance consultants
Independent consultants working with multiple clients can manage all client workspaces from a single interface without each client paying for an additional seat.
Technical support teams
Support staff from implementation partners or resellers can access client workspaces to troubleshoot, configure integrations, and provide technical assistance without affecting seat counts.
External administrators
Trusted external collaborators (bookkeepers, virtual assistants, technical specialists) can help manage workspace configuration while you maintain full control over billing.
Partner permissions and limitations
Partners receive extensive administrative access while being restricted from critical billing functions:

How to invite Partners
Go to your Workspace Settings in your Zeeg top left menu
Under the Workspace section, select Partners and click on Invite Partner
Enter the email address of up to three partners you'd like to add
Have your partner accept the email invitation coming from your Zeeg account.
And that's it! You can now see your workspace's partners on the partners page. It has their name, email, role (Partner) and Zeeg link.
*If you ever want to remove or deactivate a partner, you just need to hover on their row hit the three dots on the right, and choose "Remove user" or "Deactivate". They will lose access immediately.
Partners vs. Users: Understanding the difference
It's important to understand how Partners differ from regular Users in your workspace:
Aspect | Partners | Users |
Cost | Free (don't count toward seats) | Require paid seats |
Access level | Admin access to workspace settings | Based on assigned role (User, Admin, Owner) |
Can host meetings | No | Yes |
Can attend meetings | No | Yes |
Can access billing | No | Depends on role (Owner only) |
Primary purpose | Workspace management and configuration | Daily scheduling and CRM work |
Calendar integration | Not needed | Required for scheduling |
When to use Partners: External collaborators helping you set up, maintain, or troubleshoot your workspace.
When to use Users: Team members who schedule meetings, manage contacts, and use Zeeg daily for their work.
Best practices for working with Partners
1. Invite trusted collaborators only
Partners receive admin-level access to your workspace. Only invite collaborators you trust to manage critical configurations.
2. Document partner responsibilities
Clearly communicate what you expect partners to do (e.g., "Set up integrations" or "Configure scheduling pages"). This prevents confusion and ensures productive collaboration.
3. Review partner activity regularly
Check the Activity Log periodically to understand what changes partners are making to your workspace.
4. Remove partners after project completion
If a partner was helping with initial setup or a specific project, revoke their access once the work is complete to maintain tight security.
5. Communicate with your team
Let your users know when partners have access to the workspace, especially if partners will be making configuration changes.
FAQ
How many partners can I invite?
Professional, Business, and Scale plans allow up to 3 partners at no additional cost. Enterprise customers can request higher limits.
Do partners count toward my seat limit?
No. Partners are completely separate from your user seats and don't affect your billing.
Can partners host meetings?
No. Partners have admin access for workspace management but cannot host or attend meetings as participants.
Can I convert a partner to a regular user?
No. Partners and users are separate roles. If you want someone to host meetings, invite them as a user instead (this will consume a seat). If needed, you can have the same person added as both a partner (for admin access) and a user (for hosting meetings), but the user role will count toward your seats.
Can partners access multiple workspaces?
Yes. A partner can be invited to multiple Zeeg workspaces and switch between them, similar to how users manage multiple workspaces.
What happens if I downgrade from Professional to Starter?
If you downgrade to Starter, you'll lose access to the Partners feature. Existing partner invitations will be revoked, and partners will lose access to your workspace.
Can partners invite other partners?
No. Only workspace owners and administrators can invite partners.
How do I know if someone is a partner or a user?
Go to Workspace Settings and look for the Users or Partners pages. Users shows team members with paid seats; Partners page shows external collaborators without seat costs.
