Why Can't I or My Clients See Scheduled Workouts in FITR?

In FITR, workout visibility issues are often tied to program and calendar settings. Understanding how the platform handles visibility by default and what steps can address common problems can ensure that workouts are correctly displayed.

Common Reasons for Workout Visibility Issues

1. Program Visibility Settings

FITR allows coaches to control how far in advance clients can view their workouts. By default, this is determined by a setting known as the "advance visibility period."

  • Example: If the visibility is set to 14 days, clients will not see workouts scheduled beyond that window. Coaches can adjust this period in their settings.

2. Limitations in Session-Based Programs (S1D1 Type Programs)

Programs configured as "Session 1 Day 1" (S1D1) use week and day numbering rather than calendar dates. These programs come with specific limitations:

  • Visibility is restricted to seven days ahead of a client's current session start date.

  • Frequent rescheduling by clients can deplete this seven-day allowance, temporarily hiding upcoming workouts. A visibility reset can resolve this issue.

  • Adding or updating content from the coach side will only reflect in client apps after a system update that occurs overnight in the coach’s local timezone.

3. Forward Rescheduling Effects

When clients or coaches adjust schedules forward, it can impact visibility:

  • Rescheduling aligns the program in a way that may shift workout dates and affect which days are visible.

  • Clients may see discrepancies like workouts appearing on the wrong days.

4. Inconsistent Visibility Among Clients

If some clients see workouts while others don't, the likely reason is individual rescheduling. Different visibility allowances may result from each client's customized schedule.

  • Coaches can manually reset all clients to a seven-day visibility period to standardize their view.

5. Delayed Content Updates

For S1D1 programs, updates made by coaches (e.g., adding new weeks of content) will generally not show up on the client side until after a daily system update. This takes place in the early morning hours of the coach’s local timezone.

How to Fix Common Visibility Issues

  1. Adjust Program Visibility Settings: - Coaches can change the advance visibility period for their programs to allow clients earlier access.

  2. Perform a Visibility Reset: - If visibility limitations persist due to forward rescheduling, manually reset the visibility settings within the program's configuration.

  3. Refresh and Restart the App: - Hard close and refresh the FITR app to ensure updates sync correctly.

  4. Wait for System Updates: - If new content was recently added, give it time to appear after the system update completes overnight.

By following these steps, clients and coaches can address most workout visibility issues in FITR.
