Influencers: Get started with Make Influence

New here? This guide will walk you through the basics of the platform, and what you need to know before starting collaborations.

Be aware that it is a requirement to watch all the videos before starting your first campaign collaboration.

1) What is my dashboard? (2 min)

On your dashboard you can see, among other things, your commission overview, the summarized statistics for the day you log in, and statistics on the Instagram posts where you have used your unique hashtag.

2) How do I find and apply for campaigns? (1 min)

  • When approaching a company for a collaboration, it's important to show genuine interest in the company's products or services. It can also help to do a little research beforehand. Be sure to also highlight how your audience aligns with their target audience and the unique value you can bring to the collaboration. This will help demonstrate your professionalism and make a compelling case for why the company should work with you.

  • Even if you get rejected from a collaboration, don't let it discourage you! Keep trying and focus on building relationships with companies that align with your values and target audience.

3) Your campaign overview (1 min)

  • "Your campaigns" shows you all the campaigns invitations, applications, acceptations, rejections, as well as completed campaigns.

  • Even if campaign invitations and applications automatically expire after 14 days, we always urge to approve or reject all campaign invitations, so the company knows whether the campaign interests you or not. (This will also help them understand your interest, and can avoid receiving more invitations in the future).

4) What do I need to know before promoting? (3 min)

  • You must always create and use unique promotion links, which should be inserted into your stories via link stickers.

  • You must always create and use unique promotion hashtags, which should be inserted into your stories and posts. (These do not need to be visible and be hidden in the side)

  • You must post continuously during a campaign period (at least 3 times on three different days), unless otherwise agreed with the company. All products must be visibly displayed. If you receive multiple products during the campaign period, you must make sure to feature them as well.

    • Tip: A potential buyer needs to see a product 8 times on average before deciding to buy it. So think about how you can create long-term results!

  • We recommend promoting through stories if you want to create sales, and posts to create a long-term effect.

  • We recommend that you create a Linktree so you can have more than one link in your Instagram bio.

  • You can earn money up to 30 days after you have promoted. This is because we track cookies. When a click is made, a cookie is registered on the buyer's browser for 30 days. After the click, we will be able to register a sale with you if the cookie is still present. So it always benefits you when you promote regularly.

5) What do I need to know about promo codes? (2 min)

  • If you receive a promo code from a company that can be seen on the "promotion codes" page, that means that we can track sales automatically whenever the promo code is used in a purchase from your followers. However it is a requirement that you always use your promotion link in any situation.

  • Not all companies have the ability to add promo codes, so ask the company if you are unsure.

6) What do my reports show? (3 min)

  • We recommend that you use you the different reports to gain valuable insights in your performance. By regularly reviewing these reports, you can track important metrics such as clicks, conversions, and commission earned, and use this information to make data-driven decisions about your marketing strategy. This can help you optimize for better performance, identify areas for improvement, and ultimately increase potential.

  • To get an overview of the total sales and commission you've made, make sure to use the "summary", "business" and "sales" reports. These reports show all the sales you have generated through your promotion link and through your promo code. (Sales made through promo codes and promotion links are registered differently at Make Influence. If you are in doubt, please ask.)

7) What do I need to know about payouts? (2 min)

  • In order to receive your payment through the platform, you must both fill out the "Details" section as well as "Bank details" where you must fill with your IBAN number.

  • You must have earned a minimum of 200 DKK before it is paid out.

  • It typically takes between 8-12 weeks from when you make a sale to when it is paid out (the period may vary and depends on different factors).
