Service Chaining
Updated over 3 weeks ago

Service chaining ensures that no essential maintenance tasks are missed, improving efficiency and extending equipment lifespan. By automating linked services, OnRent helps you streamline your workflow and maintain better service records.

Step 1: Creating a Service Chain

To set up service chaining, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to System Setup > Maintenance Types.

  2. Select an existing Maintenance Type or create a new one.

  3. Locate the Included section.

  4. Click Add Linked Service and choose the maintenance type(s) to be linked as child services.

    • Example: When setting up a 2000-Hour Service, link the 250-Hour and 50-Hour services.

  5. Save your settings.

Once set up, these services will be automatically included when the main service is scheduled.

Maintenance due

If the maintenance is now due for both of these maintenance types, these will appear within Maintenance due for you to conduct both services/ maintenances.
