As you will have different equipment that will require different maintenance schedules, you can select the relevant products each maintenance type applies to.
Once you have created the maintenance types you require, you can begin adding them to your products. If you've not yet created maintenance types, please see our guide to get started.
Get Started
To add a maintenance type to a Product, you navigate to your Product Overview Screen > Products & Services > Products > select a Product.
Once you've selected the product which you would like to add maintenance types to, select Edit Product > Additional Info > you can select your maintenance types and apply them here, see example below:
These maintenance types will get updated automatically with the correct date when an item is booked out through Unavailable Items or through Works Orders if the relevant maintenance type is selected.
Maintenance Check
If your order has a start and end date and an item is added and requires the maintenance, it will notify you if a service is required during this rental period and block you booking out the item if the maintenance type is mandatory.
However, if your order is open ended (has no end date), the maintenance check feature set against a product will look forward from the delivery date to check if a maintenance is due. You simply enter the number of days specified against this field and when adding this product to an order, OnRent will check this for a due maintenance.
Note: By default, Maintenance Check is set to 30 days.
Once you have added all of your required maintenance types click the green 'Update Product' option. This will now apply the maintenance type to all of your stock levels within this product.
To find out how to add dates against your stock levels, please see our guide.
