How to create revenue groups

Updated over 2 years ago

Revenue groups can be set against rental and sale products, services, and surcharges. They’re a way of categorizing income generated during the invoicing process.

If you’re using an accounting integration, your revenue groups can be mapped to your accounting integration for revenue tracking.

When you post an invoice to your linked accounts system, the revenue will be assigned to that revenue group against the invoice.

You can set revenue groups against actual stock levels (also known as individual items / assets) - if you add the item directly on to your orders, this revenue group will be used instead of the one set at product level. If you choose a product then later allocate the item, the one set at product level will take priority.

Note: In order to assign revenue groups to your products, services, and surcharges. You will need to create a General Ledger Template

Get started
