What you can do
Starting next renewal — update future cycles only; current spend stays the same.
This billing cycle only — pay today for the remaining days of the current cycle; the budget reverts at renewal.
This cycle and future renewals — pay for the increase now and keep the new budget after renewal too.
Opening Manage
Card and wallet campaigns both use the same flow now:
Open the campaign you want to update in Campaign Insights.
Click Manage in the top right.
Click Update daily budget.
Enter your new daily budget.
Choose when it should apply: Starting next renewal, This billing cycle only, or This cycle and future renewals.
Review the total charge — for wallet campaigns, this shows the per-day increase, days left in the cycle, total cost, and your wallet balance after the deduction. For card campaigns, it's charged to the card on file.
Click Save (card campaigns) or Add budget (wallet campaigns) to confirm.
For wallet campaigns, credits are deducted immediately and the new budget is applied within a few minutes. Lowering your daily budget instead refunds the unused portion for the current cycle back to your wallet.
⚠️ Heads up on learning phase: increasing your daily budget by more than 20% (on either payment type) can cause Meta to re-enter learning phase, which may temporarily affect performance.
How payment works by funding type
Campaign created with card (Stripe subscription) → top-ups charge your card via Manage → Update daily budget.
Campaign created with Credit Wallet → top-ups deduct from your wallet balance via the same Manage → Update daily budget flow.
Wallet campaigns also have a backup saved card on file. It isn't used for routine top-ups you initiate — it's charged automatically only if a renewal costs more than your wallet balance covers, so the renewal still goes through. Common questions
Does this affect wallet auto top-up?
No. Campaign Top-Up (raising your daily budget) is separate from Auto-recharge (topping up your wallet balance when it's low). See Auto-recharge →.
Why does increasing my budget cost more than I expected?
If you choose to pay for the current cycle, you're charged for the increase across the remaining days in that cycle, not just one day. The exact breakdown is shown before you confirm, for both card and wallet campaigns.
What if my wallet balance doesn't cover the full top-up?
The Manage modal shows your projected balance after the deduction before you confirm — review it closely if your balance is low. Note this is different from a renewal shortfall, where your backup card can be charged automatically; a top-up you initiate manually does not automatically fall back to card.
