Learn how Target+ creates color swatches, how to request corrections, and why variation tiles may appear as a filmstrip.
What are color swatches?
Color swatches help Target+ guests see the available colors for a product.
For products with Color or Size and Color variations, Target+ automatically creates a swatch for each applicable variation child by sampling the center of its primary product image.
You do not need to provide a separate swatch image, example, or URL in Acenda.
Why does a swatch look different from the product’s color?
Target+ samples the center of the variation child’s primary image to generate the swatch. Depending on what appears in that area, the swatch may not match the expected product color.
How do I correct an inaccurate color swatch?
Color swatches cannot be manually changed through Acenda. To request a correction:
Compile a list of the affected items.
Enter Swatch Update Needed as the case subject.
Include the list of items that need correction.
The Target+ team can review the affected items and assist with swatch updates.
Why did my color swatches or size tiles change to a filmstrip?
Target+ may automatically switch swatch images or size tiles to a filmstrip presentation when an item relationship contains approximately six or more variation children.
Target+ controls this display behavior. No changes are needed in Acenda.
