A red "Connection Unhealthy" icon means Acenda's calls to that channel or provider keep failing. Most of the time the authorization has expired or been revoked, or an API key was changed. You fix it by reconnecting the integration, either through Settings > Consent or by entering new credentials on Settings > Authorization. The warning then clears on its own.
Good to know: This article covers every integration. For channel-specific steps, see How to connect Walmart Marketplace, How to connect Amazon with the SP-API, How to connect a Mirakl marketplace to Acenda, How to connect DSCO Marketplace and How to generate ShipStation API keys.
How to spot it
In the sidebar: A small red ! badge appears next to Integrations under CHANNELS when at least one enabled integration is unhealthy.
On the Integrations page: Under Sales Channels and Fulfillment Providers, a red warning icon appears next to the integration's Enabled/Disabled status, or in the top-right corner of its tile in grid view. Hover over it to see Connection Unhealthy.
On the integration itself: Click Edit. A red banner at the top of the page reads Unhealthy: followed by the last error the channel sent back, for example "Unauthorized" or "API Token is invalid". The banner stays at the top of every tab.
The banner text comes straight from the channel, so it can look technical. Words like "Unauthorized", "401", "invalid token", "expired credentials" or "credentials required" all mean the same thing: the connection needs to be reauthorized.
What causes it, and what clears it
Acenda counts failed connection attempts for each integration. After 5 failures in a row, the integration is marked unhealthy. The usual causes are:
An authorization that expired or was revoked in the channel's seller portal.
An API key or secret that was regenerated, deleted or expired on the channel's side.
Missing or mistyped credentials, or a wrong store or account identifier.
Less often, the channel's server can't be reached.
Listing errors on individual products don't make a connection unhealthy. They show up in Item Issues instead (see How to fix marketplace listing errors).
The warning clears on its own. You don't have to click anything. It clears as soon as you finish a new consent, or after the next successful sync once you've saved new credentials. The admin can take a few minutes to catch up, so refresh the page if the icon is still showing.
Which way to reconnect
Open the integration and click the Settings tab. Its list of sub-tabs shows which path applies. Some integrations show both tabs — when that happens, complete both Path A and Path B.
You see a Consent tab: Use Path A (OAuth). This covers channels such as Amazon, Mirakl marketplaces (for example Kohl's, Lowe's, Nordstrom, JCPenney and Best Buy), TikTok Shop, eBay and newer Shopify connections.
You see an Authorization tab: Use Path B (credentials). This covers key-based integrations such as Target Plus, DSCO, ShipStation and most other fulfillment providers.
You see both Consent and Authorization: Use Path A and Path B. This currently applies to Macy's, Walmart US, Walmart WFS, Deliverr and Business Central. On the Authorization tab, fill in the credential fields that integration shows (field labels only — never paste real values into a ticket or email):
Macy's:
API Key,API SecretWalmart US and Walmart WFS:
Client ID,Client SecretDeliverr:
Client Id,Client SecretBusiness Central:
Client ID,Tenant ID,Client Secret,Service To Service Client ID,Service To Service Client Secret
Then complete Consent on the Consent tab.
Path A: Reconnect through Consent
Click CHANNELS > Integrations in the sidebar.
Click Edit on the unhealthy integration.
Click the Settings tab, then Consent.
Click Start OAuth Consent Flow. If the tab says Consent has already been given., the button reads Restart OAuth Consent Flow.
Click that instead.
A new browser tab opens with the channel's own sign-in page. Sign in with the seller account this integration belongs to, then approve access for Acenda.
Go back to Acenda and refresh the Integrations page after a few minutes. The red icon should be gone.
Amazon: The Consent tab doesn't show a connected state for Amazon, even after a successful consent. Check that the red icon on the Integrations page has cleared instead.
Don't use Disconnect to reconnect. The Disconnect button next to the consent button removes the stored authorization as soon as you click Confirm Disconnect, and all syncing stops until you consent again. To reconnect, use Restart OAuth Consent Flow.
Path B: Update credentials on the Authorization tab
Get fresh credentials from the channel or provider, for example a new API key and secret, client ID and client secret, or token. The channel articles linked above show where to find them.
In Acenda, under CHANNELS, click Integrations, then click Edit on the unhealthy integration.
Click the Settings tab, then Authorization.
Replace the old values with the new ones, for example YOUR_API_KEY and YOUR_API_SECRET.
Copy each value in full, with no extra spaces.
Click Save.
Wait for the integration's next sync. The red icon clears once a call succeeds, often within about 30 minutes.
Regenerating a key breaks the current connection. When you create a new key in the channel's portal, the old one usually stops working right away, both for Acenda and for any other app using it. Have the new key ready to paste into Acenda as soon as you generate it.
For ShipStation, an unhealthy connection almost always means the API key expired or was regenerated. Follow How to generate ShipStation API keys to create a new pair.
What happens to your data while it's unhealthy
Acenda doesn't pause the integration. It keeps running its scheduled syncs, but every sync that depends on the broken connection fails. Until you reconnect:
New orders aren't imported from the channel.
Inventory and price changes don't reach the channel.
Tracking and shipment updates aren't sent or received.
Nothing is lost in Acenda. Once the connection works again, the next scheduled syncs catch up. Current stock and prices are sent, and orders placed during the outage are imported. On Walmart, missed orders usually sync within about an hour of reconnecting.
Check the icon regularly. Don't count on an email when a connection goes unhealthy. The red icon and the sidebar badge are the reliable signals. If the connection was down for several days, contact Acenda Support after reconnecting so Acenda support can check that nothing was missed.
How to confirm it's fixed
The red icon is gone on CHANNELS > Integrations, and the red ! badge next to Integrations in the sidebar has disappeared.
The red Unhealthy banner no longer shows when you open the integration.
For marketplaces that use it, the integration's Channel Events tab shows new messages going out to the channel after the time you reconnected.
New orders from the channel start appearing on the Orders page.
Troubleshooting & FAQ
Still unhealthy after reconnecting: Give it up to 30 minutes and refresh the page. If the banner text has changed, read the new reason. A new reason means the original problem is fixed and something else is now failing.
Nothing opens when you click Start OAuth Consent Flow: Your browser may have blocked the new tab. Allow pop-ups for the Acenda admin, then click the button again.
Signed in to the wrong seller account: Consent connects whichever account you sign in with. Sign out of the channel's seller portal, then run Restart OAuth Consent Flow again and sign in with the account this integration belongs to.
New keys saved, still unhealthy: Check that you copied each value in full and pasted it into the right field. Also check any store, company or account ID on the same tab: it must match the name the provider uses exactly. For ShipStation, make sure you used the key type the integration asks for (see How to generate ShipStation API keys).
A brand-new integration shows the icon: The icon can appear before an integration completes its first successful sync. Check that its syncs are switched on and give it time to run. If it doesn't clear, contact support.
The icon shows on a disabled integration: A disabled integration doesn't sync, so its warning usually stays until you turn it back on. Turn it on if you still use it. If you don't, you can ignore the warning: the sidebar badge only counts enabled integrations.
