How to sign up for an Acuity Insights account and tips for the ID verification process

Updated over a week ago

You can create your Acuity Insights account by following the steps below:

  1. Click this link.

  2. Provide your first and last name as they appear on your government-issued ID documents (which you will provide later), in addition to your email address.

    1. We recommend using the same email address as the one on your applications if possible.

  3. Create a password.

  4. Verify the email address provided in Step 3 by following the link in the verification email that will be sent to you. If you’re having difficulty locating this email, please check your junk/spam folders.

  5. Provide necessary account details, such as your phone number and date of birth.

  6. Complete the ID verification step by providing a photo of the front and back of a government-issued photo ID as well as a live photo (selfie) of yourself.

We recommend that you create your account at least three days before your preferred test date and time to allow for ID verification.

Applicants are only permitted to have one Acuity Insights account at any time. If you have a previously created Acuity Insights account, you can use that one for all of your required Acuity Insights reservations and for multiple admission cycles.

When you are submitting your government-issued ID, please make sure that you are using the latest version of Chrome or Firefox. You can download the latest versions HERE.

When submitting images of your ID, please ensure that it:

  • Shows your photo, name, and date of birth clearly (full name and date of birth must be in English or French);

  • Is in colour;

  • Is a high-quality image (not a photocopy or scanned image);

  • Does not show excessive white space around the ID,nor cut off any information;

  • Does not show holographic images or glare that may obscure your photo or important details; and

  • Is correctly oriented (not sideways or upside-down).

Once you have created your Acuity Insights account, you will be able to reserve your Acuity Insights Assessments by following the steps in our Reserve Your Acuity Insights Assessments article.
