ID Verification for Acuity Insights Assessments

Tips for submitting your ID when creating your Acuity Insights account

Updated this week

To take the Casper test, your ID must be verified. While you can reserve a test with a pending ID verification, your ID must be verified before you can begin the test.

ID verification can take up to 3 business days. To avoid delays, create and verify your account at least 3 days before your desired Casper test.

Our team reviews ID submissions regularly, so don’t worry if it’s still pending.

Guidelines for Uploading ID and Profile Photos

ID Photo Requirements:

  • Must show your photo, full name, and date of birth

  • Must be in colour

  • Must be a high-quality photo of the physical ID (no scans, photocopies, or photo of the document on a digital screen)

  • No glare or holograms blocking your photo or important details

  • No excessive white space or cropped details

  • Must be correctly oriented (not sideways or upside down)

Tip: Try changing the angle or lighting if your image isn’t accepted.

Profile Photo Requirements:

  • Must be only of you

  • Must be in colour

  • Must be a recent, high-quality image (not a scan, photocopy, or photo of another photo)

  • Correctly oriented

  • Background should be clear and non-distracting

How to Submit Photos

You can upload your photos in three ways:

  1. From your computer

  2. Using a link sent to your mobile device

  3. Using your webcam (if you're having issues with other methods)

If one method doesn't work, try another.

❗ No Government-Issued Photo ID?

If you don’t have a government-issued ID with your photo, full name, and date of birth (such as a driver’s licence or passport), you can upload:

  • Another piece of ID together with a birth certificate

  • Submit both documents in one image

Technical Tips

  • Use the latest version of Chrome or Firefox
