To ensure the security and integrity of the Casper test, both a working webcam and microphone are required. These are used to confirm your identity and to monitor the test session, as outlined in our Terms of Use.
What You Need on Test Day
Your webcam and microphone must be active for the entire duration of your test.
Your webcam must stay uncovered, with your face clearly visible at all times.
Don’t Have a Webcam?
If your current device doesn’t have a webcam, you’ll need to arrange access to a computer that does. A working webcam is required both to register your account and to take the test.
Test Your Setup Before Test Day
To avoid last-minute technical issues, use the following tools found in the Casper section of your Acuity Insights account:
System Requirements Check – Make sure your device, internet, and equipment meet the test requirements.
Practice Test – Simulates the test experience so you can verify everything works properly.
Important: Run these checks using the same computer, webcam, and internet connection you plan to use on test day, and in the same location where you’ll take the test.
