Applicants can only take one Casper test per test type per admissions cycle. If multiple programs require the same test type, you only need to complete the test once and add all programs to your distribution list. Your results will be used for those programs throughout the entire admissions cycle. A new Casper test is required for each new admissions cycle or if you are applying to programs that require a different test type, country, or language.
Completing Casper: one test per type, per admissions cycle
Applicants are only allowed to take the same Casper test type once per admissions cycle. Learn more about test types here.
Note: Retakes are only considered in cases of verified technical issues and must be reported to Acuity Support within one week of the Assessment date, in accordance with the Terms of Use.
One test, multiple programs
If you’re applying to multiple programs that require the same test type, you only need to reserve one Casper test. You can add all the required programs to your distribution list from your Acuity Insights account.
How results are used throughout the cycle
Some programs use your Casper results at multiple points in the admissions process such as early screening, interviews, or ranking. In all cases:
You do not need to take the test more than once in the same cycle.
Your initial Casper results will be valid for all programs using the same test type throughout the entire admissions cycle.
Example:
If you complete the Canadian Postgraduate Medical Education Casper test for CaRMS Round 1, the same results will also be used for Round 2.
This applies even when programs use Casper in place of interviews or MMIs (Multiple Mini Interviews), as long as those programs are on your distribution list.
New cycle = new test
Casper results are only valid for the admissions cycle in which you take the test, and only for the test type and language you selected.
You’ll need to:
Complete a new Casper reservation for future admission cycles.
Reserve a separate test for programs in different countries, languages, or test types.
