What can I do during optional breaks?
What can I do during optional breaks?
Updated over a year ago

Starting from the 2023-2024 admissions cycle, you will have two optional breaks during the Casper test:

  • The first break is up to 10 minutes long, and is presented after the 6 video response sections of your test.

  • The second break is up to 5 minutes long, and is presented after the first four typed response sections of your test.

During those breaks you are free to step away from your test and device. This means that you can leave the room in which you are taking the test, use the restroom, use your phone, engage in social interactions, etc.

Please keep in mind that the timer is running during the break and that you must come back to complete other sections of Casper afterwards. You will be asked to take a photo of yourself via your webcam for proctoring purposes after your second break. You will not have to submit a picture of your ID at any time during the test.

After coming back from each break, you must continue to take your test in line with the Acuity Insights Terms of Use.
