This article will talk you through how to set up your follow up notifications in Aesthetic Nurse Software.
A follow up message can be sent to your patients after their appointment to ask them how they found the treatment and ask them to leave a review for you online. This helps you keep in touch with your patients after they leave your clinic.

Turn On Follow Up Message
The first thing you will need to do to set up your follow up message is set how you would like the message to be sent to your patients.
Step 1:
From the main menu, head to settings.
Step 2 :
When in settings, head to the notification settings under the heading notifications.
Step 3 :
Then you will need to head to the follow up tab.
Step 4 :
After, you will need to select how you would like the follow up message to be sent to your patients, either by email or text message.
Emails through ANS are at no extra charge whereas text messages will be at a chargable rate.
Step 5 :
Then, select how many days or hours after the appointment you would like the follow up to be sent and hit save details when happy with the set up.
Change Wording
If you would like to update what is being sent to your patients through the folllow up message like adding a Google/Facebook review link, you can do so following the steps below.
Step 6 :
Head back to settings and then into SMS/Email templates under the heading notifications.
Step 7 :
You will then be able to choose either the email or SMS template and select edit next to the template which says ' Follow Up'
Step 8 :
You will then be able to add what you would like the message to say in the large text box and you are able to personalise the message with the tags provided.
Practitioners will usually use the follow up message to ask patients about their experience and also request a review.
Once happy with your message, hit update.
Sending Your Follow Up Message
Once you have set up how you want your follow up message to be sent and what is being sent. You are ready to send your follow up message to your patients.
Step 9 :
From the main menu, head to the diary.
Step 10 :
You will then just need to click on the appointment in the diary. This can either be done from the month view or the day view.
Step 11 :
Once you have clicked on the appointment, you will find 3 options for the status of the appointment. You will just need to select the arrived button.
Step 12 :
This will then trigger the follow up message to be sent to your patients at the designated time you have set in the settings area.
You will need to just make sure if you would like a follow up message to be sent to your patients that the arrived button has been selected.
