Updating Your Appointment Status

Learn how to update the status of your appointments with Aesthetic Nurse Software.

This article will talk you through how to add a status to your appointments within ANS and how to update the status if the outcome is different.

Labeling your appointments with statuses can trigger different messages and forms to your patients after an appointment.

Adding An Appointment Status

There are 3 status options for your appointments within ANS, these fall as 'Arrived', 'Cancelled' & 'No Show'.

First, we will walk you through how to add a status to your appointment.

Step 1 :

From the main menu, head to the diary area.

Step 2 :

Head to the day of the appointment and click on the date to bring up the daily view. You will then be able to select the appointment in the diary.

Step 3 :

You will then be brought to an appointment summary box, where you will see the 3 options to choose from.

Step 4 :

The first is 'Arrived' this is to be selected when the patient turns up to clinic. This button when clicked will trigger any automated aftercare set up and a follow up message.

Step 5 :

The second is ' Cancelled' this is to be selected when a patient cancels their appointment. This button when clicked will trigger an automated cancellation message to your patient.

You are able to enter a specific cancellation reason when the cancelled button is selected for the appointment. You can also reschedule the cancelled appointment if needed.

Step 6 :

The third is ' No-Show' this is to be selected when a patient does not show up for their appointment.


Updating An Appointment Status

If you have accidently clicked a status which is incorrect, you are able to update this to the correct status by following the below steps.

Step 1 :

Head back to the appointment with the incorrect status by clicking on the appointment in the diary.

Step 2 :

Hover over where the other options are greyed out to view the statuses.

Step 3 :

Then click on the status you would like to change to, this will then update the appointment and also send any automated messages and forms set for the 'arrived' or 'cancelled' button.
